Tournaments and Ceremonies

All players are welcome to participate in the following games which will be held during the 1998 PABF Tournament. There will be many prizes commemorating the Tournament and entry fees have been set low especially for this event. The PABF games marked with an asterisk (*) on the "Tournament Schedule" will be displayed on the vugraph with Japanese and non-Japanese guest commentators. Daily Bulletins containing the results of the games will be issued every day in English (a partial Japanese version may also be issued). Please come and enjoy the games, see the play of the experts and of course, support the Japanese teams.

Rokko Island Cup (Regional)
	May 16th (Sat) 11:00 2 Sessions
		Open Pair

		Entry Fee : 6,000 Yen per Pair
		Entries will be accepted through May 9th at the Osaka Bridge Center :

Kobe Cup (Regional)
	May 17th (Sun) 11:00 2 Sessions
		Open Swiss Team
		Place : Urban Gourmet Port, C Hall
		Entry Fee : 12,000 Yen per Team
		Entries will be accepted through May 9th at the Osaka Bridge Center.

Continuous Pair (Sectional)
	May 18th (Mon) - May 21st (Thu) 11:00 1 Session per day, 4 days
		Stratified Pair
			A : MP 100 and up
			B : MP 0 - 99
		The overall result per player will be calculated based on the total of each game's results and the best 2 scores out of 4 (played with a different partner) for both groups A and B.

		Entry Fee : 1,000 Yen per Player Entries will be accepted on the same day.

Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel Cup (Regional)
	May 22nd (Fri) 11:00 2 Sessions
		Open Pair
		Place : Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Banquet Hall "Rokko"
		Entry Fee : 7,000 Yen per Player (including lunch, cake and coffee/tea)
		Entries will be accepted through April 30th by fax or entry card at the JCBL main office.

PABF Open Pair (International)
	May 23rd (Sat) 13:30 2 Sessions Qualifying Round
	May 24th (Sun) 10:30 2 Sessions Final Round / Consolation
		Open Pair
		1)	Players may not register for the Qualifying Round only. Please register for both days, 4 sessions. Pairs unable to qualify for the Finals will participate in a 2 session Consolation Game which will be played at the same time as the Finals.
		2)	Entries by players participating in the PABF Team Tournament will be given priority.
		3)	Players may register for the Consolation Game only (May 24th).
		Place : Urban Gourmet Port, R Hall
		Entry Fee : 12,000 Yen per Pair (6,000 Yen per Pair for Consolation Game only)
		Entries will be accepted through April 30th by fax or entry card at the JCBL main office.

Closing Ceremony
	May 24th (Sun) 20:30 - 22:30
		Place : Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Banquet Hall "Rokko"
		1)	Party expenses for the Closing Ceremony will be 5,000 Yen per player.
		2)	Attendance by players and officials participating in the Tournament will be given priority. Thank you.
